Hope Out of the Ashes

The latest exhibition at the Wollondilly Heritage Centre and Museum is “Hope Out of the Ashes”.
This exhibition shows the development of firefighting in Wollondilly from very early days to the formation of the Wollondilly based Rural Fire Brigades highlighting their volunteers and staff.
Guests enjoyed viewing the exhibition which shows how fighting fires has changed over the years.


On 20 November 2020 Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons AFSM opened the Exhibition and launched the book Hope Out of the Ashes.
Trish welcomed invited guests, Sue gave a history of management of firefighting in Wollondilly and Shane spoke of the contribution by people to the local community as part of the Rural Fire Service.
