To celebrate the National Trust Heritage Week, the Museum is organising an event named The Valley of Dispossession.
At about 11:00am, guest speaker Taylor Clark will describe the loss of country experienced by the original Gundungorra people.
This will be followed by a showing of the Flooding of Burragorang Valley film.
Entry is a gold coin donation. Refreshments will be provided.

History Week 2018 was announced on 3 August 2018 by The History Council of NSW with the theme Life and Death. Life’s defining moments and the impact of death on communities across time being explored.
During this week The Oaks Historical Society will be conducting a program called Peeps at Pioneers and organising visits to local cemeteries.
There will be a limit of 20 people per group. Bookings are essential.

The third bi-annual Truckies Re-union will be held at the Wollondilly Heritage Centre & Museum from 10:30am on Saturday 11 May 2019.
The event is open to all involved in the transportation of Burragorang Coal – owners driver, subbies, company drivers, mechanics, weighbridge operators, supervisors and loader drivers etc.
A display of former Burragorang coal trucks & “Old Boys Toys” is planned …. any old classic/collectable motor vehicles, caravans or similar motoring device will be welcome.
Exhibits will need to be in place prior to 10.30am on the day.
Admission will be standard museum entry Adults -$3.00 Children – $1.00 and families-$7.00.
Catering will be available –BBQ $5 for a sausage or steak sandwich and drink
Alcoholic beverages will not be available however participants are welcome to provide their own drinks.
Disability access is available throughout the Centre.
